Dead of Night Designs stocks its shelves with stationery, cards, and letters of a dark yet romantic nature. The intended purpose of producing such materials is to inspire people to once again take their pens into their hands and rediscover the profound intimacy that lies in a handwritten letter. Sometimes it is not so much the letter itself that captivates us but instead it’s the construction of it. What sort of paper was used to write on? Is it thick or fairly thin? What sort of texture does it have? Have the pages caught and held the stray scents from your lovers perfume or cologne as their skin brushed against the page while they wrote? These are the things that really complete the letter/note.
As production progresses I will post images of the things that I feel may be of interest to others and then I will of course add them to the official Etsy shop!
The world is quickly forgetting the beauty in the never-ending attempt to capture our memories, thoughts and emotions in writing but it is my hope to perhaps…help them remember something that they loved so dearly not too long ago.
